Gas Golf Carts have the advantage of not running out of battery power if they get used a lot. If you do run out of gas you can simply top up from a can of gas and carry on as before. With an electric golf cart you would have to replace or recharge the batteries so if you plan on making heavy use of your golf cart then a gas powered cart is probably best for you.
The benefit of a new gas golf cart is that everything is brand new but you pay a price for buying new. A used gas golf cart can be almost as good as a new one but the cost is a lot less. Golf carts do not usually get a huge amount of use so as long as it has been properly maintained and serviced reliability should not be a problem.

Gas golf carts may be a bit faster than electric, if that is important to you. There are people who like to race golf carts and they tune up their gas golf carts and get quite ridiculous speeds out of them but for driving around a golf course, speed is not important.
